Safety, wellbeing, and HR professionals gathered at Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 10–12 September 2024. EuroSafety, the Nordic region’s largest safety trade fair, and the versatile Occupational Wellbeing Fair brought visitors together to focus on important topics. At the same time, the Food Industry and Logistics Fairs were also held, bringing the total number of visitors across all four events to 9,249.
During the three-day EuroSafety and Occupational Wellbeing Fairs, participants explored current issues in safety and workplace wellbeing. Alongside these, the two-day Food Industry and Logistics Fairs took place. Together, the four professional events attracted 9,249 visitors and 323 exhibitors under one roof. Visitor numbers grew by 18% compared to 2022, when the fairs were last held.
“The fairs had a great atmosphere, a rich program, and plenty of buzz. We are especially pleased with the impressive growth in visitor numbers, and this gives us an excellent starting point for developing the event for 2026,” says Anne Saarinen, Project Manager at Tampere Trade Fairs.
EuroSafety presented the latest innovations in safety and risk management, protective equipment, and smart solutions. The event’s organizing partner, the Finnish Occupational Safety Association (STYL), was pleased with the lively discussions at its stand, which help promote workplace safety across the industry.
“This time, we wanted to highlight the importance of a well-fitting respirator, and visitors were able to test this in practice. In addition to professionals, we were delighted to see many future employees during Thursday’s student day. Young people are interested in their health and safety, and they can bring these important themes to the workplace,” says STYL Chair Hannele Nyholm.
EuroSafety’s main partner, Sievi, also considered the event a success. “There’s been a great turnout, and our stand has been buzzing. It’s been encouraging to see so many people responsible for procurement and occupational safety,” says Sievi Sales Manager Markku Heikkilä.
At the Occupational Wellbeing Fair, visitors explored organizations, products, and services that promote workplace wellbeing. The fair’s free expert seminars provided practical tools for maintaining work ability. Seminar partners, the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and Sitomo, were particularly pleased with the seminar days.
“Occupational wellbeing seminars clearly attracted visitors across professional boundaries. Resilience is an important topic in today’s working life. The Mental Health Toolkit sparked a lot of discussion, as it offers practical tools for building a work culture that supports mental wellbeing,” says Kati Oksjoki, Coordinator at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The fair also featured lively discussions on workplace diversity. On Thursday, the stage area was packed as siblings Sointu and Topi Borg inspired the audience to make bold everyday decisions and embrace more courageous recruitment practices.
EuroSafety and Occupational Wellbeing Fairs will return in September 2026 at Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre.
